SARCH was established in July 1979 by a small group of persons interested in Radio Controlled Helicopters.
In those days the models were very difficult to fly and there was no support group to assist with training or setting up the machines.
These days the models and equipment are far more capable and sophisticated. However, learning is still a complex task.
The club offers assistance with flight training, assembly and set up for anyone who is interested in becoming involved with the sport.
Flying sessions on Saturday and Sunday are for both experienced pilots and students. For new pilots this time is mainly for flight tuition but some time is usually offered to assist with checking that new models are ready for flight.
